我在FB上的報告：新的硬碟今天到了。紙箱大約是內容物的五倍大，內容物被大約300英尺寬12英寸的牛皮紙包裹著。把所有的紙從盒子裡拿出來、弄平、然後折成一條，還蠻好玩的。我在工作桌上打開盒子，裡面發現硬碟安放在一個泡棉盒裡。旁邊的隔間裡有電源線、連接硬碟和電腦的線，還有一捆裝著塑膠零件的Ziploc袋子。 那些原來是三組不同的插頭——一個是美國插座用的，一個是英國插座用的，還有一個我還沒搞懂。當我看電源線時，它沒有插腳，所以顯然要拿適合我插座類型的插頭，滑進電源線的末端，這樣電源線才能插到牆上。就是這種商業道德讓我繼續選擇Glyph來滿足我的硬碟需求
The absurdly oversized box made me laugh when the courier handed it over, but the drive itself is a compact little beast. Setup took maybe two minutes and it’s been copying my photo library at a solid clip all afternoon.
It’s been running quietly since I plugged it in, and the transfer speeds are noticeably faster than my old external drive. The packaging was overkill, but the drive itself feels solid and hasn’t skipped a beat during my backup.
Unboxing took a solid ten minutes thanks to the absurd amount of brown paper, but honestly that felt like a good sign for protection. The metal casing is reassuringly hefty, and it connected instantly with no driver hassle.
